Sharpening Your Outdoor Knives

First, install the knife/scissor guide included with your Dremel Sharpening Station onto the motor unit following the 6700 "Installing and Removing Guides" in the User's Manual.
Once the Sharpener is plugged in and turned on, hold the knife handle in one hand and support the spine of the blade with your other hand.
Starting at the heel, insert the blade into the guide, rest the blade against the guide surface, and draw the cutting edge smoothly across the sharpening wheel ending at the tip. Apply light pressure for best results. Repeat this step until the knife has a sharp edge.
Flip the blade over and repeat step 3, sharpening the second face of the blade.
Repeat step 4 until you have achieved a clean, sharp edge on your knife.
Follow these steps for all of your outside knives so you are ready for the next hunting season or storing them away for winter.
